We had the distinct privilege of being featured on Grand Designs for a second time.
THE HUX SHARD PROJECT
Channel 4’s TV programme, Grand Designs featured the Hux Shard project on the outskirts of Exeter, Devon. Squirrel Design had the amazing opportunity to design this innovative dwelling for our clients and collaborated with a team of talented construction, landscape and ecology professionals to realise this stunning sculptural home.
The Hux Shard project, an inspirational building, designed to be carbon negative, use local materials, be ecological, complement the landscape and be a long term educational asset. Designed under the NPPF Paragraph 79 guidelines.
Modelled on Dartmoor’s granite Tors, the project is a truly outstanding and innovative design, helping to raise standards of design more generally in rural areas and reflects the highest standards in architecture.
