Circular economy principles are central to the design, construction and deconstruction process.
Kea House is a fully peer reviewed scheme that has received support from the Design Review Panel and is currently at the planning stage. The proposals have also benefitted from local engagement with the Parish Council and has received unanimous support following an on-site meeting and presentation.
Kea House is a landscape driven scheme that looks to the historic field patterns and locally prevalent Cornish hedges for inspiration and inclusion within the proposals, fully embracing the ethos behind the paragraph 80(e) planning criteria. Biophillic principles and passive systems for solar shading make for a holistic design proposal with nature at its core.
The introduction of a new Cornish hedge within the scheme to reinforce the hide and reveal aspects relating to the surrounding countryside while providing habitats for native flora and fauna ensure circular economy principles are central to the design, construction and deconstruction process.
